Meet fellow fans and celebrate fandom in the Community Zone with booths run by local groups and organizations.

501st LEGION

Meet the 501st Outer Rim Garrison, AKA the bad guys doing good. The 501st is made up of Star Wars fans that join together to create film-accurate costumes, spread their love of Star Wars, and give back to the community through direct fundraising and volunteer work at charity events.

The Droid Builders are coming to the FAN EXPO Vancouver Community Zone. Check out their incredible creations and get inspired to create your own as you dive into the worlds of robotics and prop building.

The Mandalorian Mercs is an international Star Wars costuming organization dedicated to celebrating the Star Wars universe and uniting individuals with a common love for Star Wars and The Mandalorian culture. They also encourage self-improvement, personal growth, family involvement, and fellowship with peers.

Looking to join the light side? Meet the Rebel Legion Falcon Base in the FAN EXPO Vancouver Community Zone. The Rebel Legion is an international costume club representing the "good guys" of the Star Wars franchise like Jedi, Rebel Pilots, Troopers, Princesses, and Wookiees.

The Saber Guild is a Star Wars costuming and lightsaber choreography group. They are also the only group permitted by LFL/Disney to present saber shows and give training. As one of the newest members of the Star Wars costuming community in BC, the Alderaan Temple is thrilled to be joining in on all of the intergalactic excitement at FAN EXPO.

Get ready to create your own character to inhabit the dark side of the Star Wars universe. Whether you're a Sith, smuggler, or pirate, The Dark Empire is your new home. As one of the 5 leading, volunteer-based costuming/charity clubs approved by LFL, the Citadel Spire is proud to offer this costuming opportunity in the FAN EXPO Vancouver Community Zone.

Barony of Lion’s Gate

Time travel to the Middle Ages when you visit the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) and the Barony of Lions Gate in the Community Zone. The SCA is a non-profit, worldwide organization with over 60,000 people who strive to recreate life in the Middle Ages through songs, dance, clothing, weaving, combat, archery, and metalworking.

The Bucketheads YouTube series follows the lives of stormtroopers during the downfall of the Empire and if you haven't watched it yet, you're missing out on peak Star Wars content. Experience the authentic TIE cockpit, meet the cast, and learn more about high-end fan filmmaking under the watchful eye of the House of Mouse.

Who you gonna call? The BC Ghostbusters. Composed of volunteers, prop builders, collectors, and fans, they are a non-profit society looking to do some good in their community while taking care of paranormal problems along the way.

Thinking of travelling to Japan for work? Stop by the JET Alumni Association of British Columbia (JETAABC) booth in the Community Zone to talk to individuals who have worked there. All JET alumni members have worked for at least one year in Japan as an Assistant Language Teacher, Coordinator for International Relations, or Sports Exchange Advisor.

Meeple Leaf Gaming

Meeple Leaf Gaming is setting up shop at FAN EXPO Vancouver's Community Zone with three days of free play table top gaming. Rediscover an old favourite or play something brand new with the help of their experts.

In the world of production, a Property Master is the individual who oversees all props in the Property Department from the time of prep until the production is wrapped.
