Do you love The Shire? Maybe you want to debate the layout of the Enterprise versus Serenity? Then, you don't want to miss FAN EXPO Chicago’s sci-fi and fantasy programming. From celebrity Q&As, to discussions, debates, cosplay, and gaming, there is something for everyone. Check the schedule closer to show to find out when and where the fun happens.

Join your fellow intergalactic enthusiasts and dance the night away at our Cosmic Celebration where we'll be showing love to all your fave sci-fi franchises like Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, and Guardians of the Galaxy. This all-ages party includes tracks spun by DJ Awesomus Prime, photo ops, bracelet making, a bar for fans 21+, giveaways, and more. Cosplay is encouraged, but not required.

Is the Force strong with you? Calling all Padawans and Jedi for an interactive lightsaber training experience hosted by Jedi Masters from Chicago's professional stage combatants, Counterfeit Combat taking place Saturday, August 17 at 12:00 PM on the Cosplay Red Carpet.

Learn to wield a lightsaber like Obi and Ani with Legion Sabers. Head to the Cosplay Red Carpet at 11:00 AM on Saturday to join Coach Izzy for a short and sweet spinning lesson that'll have you feeling the Force.

FOAM DUELS
The battlefield awaits. Learn to duel with Convention Foam Fighting during one of their combat sessions. They'll be providing foam sabers for participants, so you can safely and confidently dive into one of their 1v1 or team-based battle games. Whether you're a seasoned fighter or a curious newcomer, you won't want to miss this exhilarating world of melee combat.

Is your youngling ready to step into a galaxy far, far away? Stop by the Kids' Zone on Friday at 6:00 PM to take a break from the show and create your own intergalactic craft. Materials will be provided.

From Star Wars and Star Trek to House of the Dragon and Lord of the Rings, there'll be sci-fi & fantasy themed Cosplay Meetups all weekend long. Use #FANEXPOChicago when you post the out-of-this-world pics you take with your fellow fans, so we can share them too.
