Team Picks: Last One Standing

Here at the FAN EXPO HQ, our team is always nerding out over the world of fandom. On Team Picks, we share some of our favorite things we’ve been watching, reading and playing.

This month, though, we’re taking a break from those things to answer the important questions, like: which one of us has the best chance of surviving until the end of a horror movie?

Meet the contestants and their picks:

Alan

Project Manager

I would say this is actually a very good team to survive through a horror movie. So, I am betting on no one dying. Lizzie's determination, Jabbari's strength, Marcus' quick mind, and Caroline's thorough thinking combined won't give any monster or serial killer a chance. That's as long as we stay together. If we split, well, that would be a different story.

Caroline

Social Media Coordinator

I'd say Marcus, he seems like a strong fighter and a fast runner. He is also obsessed with horror and has seen pretty much every single horror movie so I feel like he would know how to beat a horror movie and survive.

Update: I confirmed with him. He has seen every single one.

Lizzie

Operations Coordinator

Marcus, because I think he would likely outsmart the monster/baddie by wearing functional, yet highly fashionable, survival gear (which would include weapons and croissants).

Jabbari

Copywriter

In my completely honest opinion, I believe that Alan would be most likely to survive a horror movie. Sure, he would be initially frightened, but which 'final girl' isn't? If he can get over the steep learning curve that is out-thinking a serial murderer in a mask, I believe his organizational skills and ability to take charge would ensure he makes it to the end of any horror movie.

Marcus

Social Media Coordinator

Me. I’ve mentally trained for this since I was small. I've watched every horror sub-genre known to man. I can survive. Trust me! I'm the final girl of my horror movie. I'm agile, self-aware and NOT interested in hooking up at the beginning of the movie (those characters always die first). I mean, if it’s a zombie pandemic that’s a different story. But if it’s like some Jason nonsense or a ghost I will seance my way out of that situation and send them back to the shadow realm.
