OUR FIRST FANDOM CRUSHES

Here at FAN EXPO HQ, our team is always nerding out over the world of Fandom. On Team Picks, we share some of our favorite things we’ve been watching, reading, and playing. In honor of Valentine's Day this month, we’re sharing our first (or at least the first we can remember) Fandom crush.

The Tenth Doctor is the first to come to mind as a childhood crush. As my first Doctor, he is extremely important to me since he was my introduction to Doctor Who and I loved watching his adventures across time and space. Also, I just adore David Tennant and love watching all his other performances (especially his portrayal as Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing)

Everyone that knows me knows I’m boy crazy. To this day, I’m always crushing on a different celeb. I think my earliest Fandom crush would have to be Joey Tribbiani from Friends, which would explain a lot about my current type. What’s not to love about him? He’s hot, he’s funny (not always on purpose, but we love a himbo), and he loves good food. Bonus points for being an Italian-American New Yorker. Like I said, my type!

Any 90's kid would know the obsession with the one and only Tuxedo Mask. He stole my heart at a mere 6 years old. It's safe to say meeting the real voice actor, Toby Proctor, was a dream come true. I'll take his red rose any day of the week.

My first fandom crush has to be Zachary Levi. I watched him on Chuck and I loved the combination of a nerd getting to be a spy, and getting to meet him at CALGARY EXPO 2019 was a dream come true as he quite literally swept me off my feet without even a second thought. Here's our Photo Op!

My first fandom crush was definitely Danny Phantom. I was OBSESSED with Nickelodeon growing up. I honestly don't even know why but this guy had a very special place in my heart. I definitely had a thing for cartoon characters when I was younger.
