FAVE GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY CHARACTERS

Here at FAN EXPO HQ, our team is always nerding out over the world of Fandom. On Team Picks, we share some of our favorite things we’ve been watching, reading, and playing. In honor of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3's release this month, we’re sharing our fave Guardians of the Galaxy characters.

Yondu

Yondu is smiling directly at the camera and is holding up a metal ball. He looks very happy.

Quinn

Marketing Coordinator

He's Mary Poppins, y'all. Listen, Yondu isn't exactly pure of heart -- he's a complicated character with a long journey to hero-dom. But his redemption arc, particularly in the 2nd Guardians movie, was really satisfying. Plus, his whistle-controlled arrow is one of the coolest and most underrated weapons in Marvel as a whole.

Drax

Drax has piercing blue eyes and is looking off into the distance. He looks concerned.

Out of all the wonderful, cool, amazing, and beautiful characters Guardians of the Galaxy has to offer, my favourite is… none of the above; I like Drax. I know, you can barely notice him on screen sometimes when he moves slowly, but hey, he’s great. All jokes aside, I love a good comedic relief character that is hilarious without the character themselves trying to be. The dry deadpan delivery of his lines accompanied with the sheer violent meathead energy he radiates is peak character writing for me. Also, someone has to ask the important questions on the team; why is Gamora?

Mantis

Mantis, the character from Guardians of the Galaxy is wearing a green outfit and is looking straight into the camera. She looks worried.

Jasmine

Marketing Coordinator

Mantis seems often overlooked, but I absolutely love her. Her powers to read people’s emotions and alter them seem to not be taken as seriously; but her abilities can be wicked and terrifying in the hands of someone with malicious intentions. I love how even though she had a difficult upbringing with Ego, she can connect with the rest of the gang and is able to find a real family with them. Plus, I feel like she would be an amazing friend to have.

Baby Groot

Baby Groot is in a white pot looking up at the ceiling.

Caroline

Marketing Coordinator

Mine has to be Baby Groot. Why? Because he's stinking adorable. Look at him!
