FAVE MARVEL CHARACTERS
Here at FAN EXPO HQ, our team is always nerding out over the world of fandom. On Team Picks, we share some of our favorite things we’ve been watching, reading, and playing. This month, we’re exploring our team’s favourite Marvel characters.
With the release of Ms. Marvel this month and Thor: Love and Thunder over the horizon, Marvel is still as popular as ever. Part of that is thanks to the massive roster of likable characters they’ve built up, some of whom will be mentioned below.

When thinking about who my favourite Marvel character might be, there are so many good ones to consider. People who know me, might assume that the Hulk would be at the top of my list, as I have a tattoo of him on my back. However, that was something I did as a memoriam to a friend who passed away when I was a kid and though I love the Hulk and am happy whenever I see his image, I think I would have to go with Deadpool. Some of my favourite things about being entertained are action and comedy, and Deadpool isn’t lacking in either.
My favourite Marvel character is Wanda. Not only does she have insanely cool powers, but her outfits are everything. She is also arguably the most powerful MCU character.
P.S. WandaVision is my favourite Marvel series! If you haven't seen it already, what are you waiting for?!
Daredevil (AKA Matt Murdock) has to be my fave, largely because of the excellent Netflix series that was released 7 years ago. I remember watching it when it was first released and being floored by how good it was. Although there are a ton of great characters there, Daredevil is my fave because of what he stands for, his character development, and for all the action scenes he’s in.
My fave must be WandaVision’s Agatha Harkness, because who doesn’t love a villain who knows it and embraces it? We stan one powerful witch. Kathryn Hahn’s performance is just the icing on the cake.
If you had asked me this two month ago I would’ve had a different answer, but my new favorite character in the Marvel universe is Steven Grant. I was inclined to say Moon Knight, but then I realized I’m not sure I would love him so much if Steven Grant’s personality didn’t exist. Oscar Isaac playing Steven Grant as 1/2 of the Moon Knight (1/2?? **no spoilers**) is an added layer of perfection. I can’t wait to see how Moon Knight is potentially integrated into future MCU storylines. Nice guys don’t always finish last. 🌙
My fave character has to be your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man! When I was a kid, I grew up watching Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man and yes of course I watched Garfield's and Holland's Spider-Man movies. This character is such a role model to me and to everyone that believes in pushing yourself to the limit despite how much adversity you face. Also, Peter Parker is such a relatable character with relatable problems, and it feels like you’re in the same universe as him. Lastly, my hot take on Spider-Man video games; the PS1 and PS2 Spidey games are marvelous.
