CHAINSAW MAN

The titular character of the hit series is everyone's go-to person for doing things no sane person would. He's pretty easy to motivate, but the way to motivate him isn't quite appropriate for this FAN EXPO Deep Dive. Rest assured, if you give him a chance, Denji will be able to get even the most impossible of requests done. He's certainly got some - unique - personality traits, but you'll love him all the same.

Denji is hired as a Devil Hunter by Makima, a high-ranking Public Safety Devil Hunter. She's in charge of the squad made up of Denji, Power, and Aki. Denji falls head over heels for Makima and will do whatever she says, as soon as she says it. There's a whole lot to be said about her, but it's best if you watch the show or read the manga to form your own opinions about Miss Makima. 

While Aki starts out as a tough nut to crack, he eventually warms up to both Denji and Power. As a serious professional, Aki makes sure to give every devil he kills gets a slow and painful death. Maybe it's because of his traumatic past, or maybe he just enjoys it. Just kidding, it's because of his past. Unfortunately for Aki, he's made some bad decisions that have left him serving out contracts with various devils like the Curse Devil and the Future Devil. How will that play out? You'll need to read/watch to learn more.

One of Denji's best friends and a big fan of cats, Power, is actually a Blood Fiend. This means that the Blood Devil, nicknamed Power, has taken possession over a woman's corpse. We don't know who this person was, we only know that she's now Power. She can manipulate blood to make weapons, or really just do whatever she needs. The best part? It doesn't have to be her own. The bloodier a battle, the more ammunition Power has to work with. 

Watching Denji go fully unhinged in his battle with the Eternity Devil has always stood out to me. The menacing laughing, the endless battle, the dying & regenerating so consistently - it's all amazing.

I like the flashback with Power getting attached to her cat. She's such an unhinged and happy-go-lucky character that it's nice to see the more human side of the devil.
