The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Oh Pisces, is there no game more perfect for you than Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild? Truly, it is the “Breath of the Wild” of ideal videogames for you. Between the endless exploration, to which you can take any direction or sign and travel there, and discover all that Hyrule has to offer, there’s so much to do. Truly, just like you, there are no boundaries to be had (except when you reach the edge of the map).  

Elden Ring

Was there ever any doubt that it would be any other game than this, Aries? For sure, there are so many action videogames out there (I mean, God of War is a thing). But none quite do it like Elden Ring. Here, you can truly become as unstoppable as you are in real life and win at absolutely everything (except at being maidenless). Plus, there’s no getting bored here- if you ever get stuck on a boss or anything like that, you can easily just travel elsewhere, as the world of Elden Ring is vast and full of mysteries. Just don’t forget to visit all the turt- I mean, dogs that litter its landscapes.  

Stardew Valley

Truthfully, you could easily put Animal Crossing or even something like Minecraft as a recommendation for you, Taurus. But the difference between those and Stardew Valley is the vibe; it’s just built different. Here, you can focus on building up your farm, all the while doing other activities and getting to know the folk of Pelican Town (not to mention the people you can date). This is the ideal game for a homebody like you.

XCOM 2

It’s difficult for us to pick just one game for you, Gemini. We know you’re good at a variety of games and would easily switch it up based on your mood. So, since one of your strengths is adaptability we’ve decided to pick a strategy-based game for you. We think you should play XCOM 2.

Minecraft

Cancer, we don’t think you’ll be surprised by this choice, but we think you should play Minecraft. We know you love puzzle-based games and love to build things so we had to go with Minecraft. Minecraft also requires a certain amount of time committed to it and we know you won’t have a problem with that!  

Deathloop

You know that moment in Groundhog Day when Bill Murrary’s character wonders if he’s become God because he knows everything about everyone in the café? Playing Deathloop is like that. Run through the same time loop over and over again, becoming the master of your domain. Be there before something happens, change the course of events, and enjoy your new reality. We know you love to feel important, Leo, and Deathloop is constantly giving you that feeling.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

When you really think about it, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is mainly about arranging and decorating things exactly the way you want them, which is basically a Virgo’s dream. You get to choose everything, from the villagers who live there to what their houses look like to the type of trees and where they grow all around the island. Organize to your heart’s content, dear Virgo.

No Man's Sky

Libra, if you haven’t tried No Man’s Sky, then you need to get it NOW. Not only has it blossomed from when it first launched back in 2016 (and continues to do so with seemingly regular updates), but it features absolutely everything you would want in a game. You can, quite literally, explore an entire universe and discover all the wild, dangerous, and whacky creatures and beings that call it home. Amidst all that exploration, you can build entire colonies/bases, trade, and engage in battle. And to make it even better, you can play alongside others, which we know is something you want.

Skyrim

Ok Scorpio, no surprise here but we had to give you an action game. We know you don’t have time for other games and are only here for the action so we think you should play Skyrim. We made sure it was a role-playing action game so you can build and play your character however you want as well. Enjoy!

Horizon Zero Dawn

Oh Sagittarius, due to your adventurous nature, we had to give you an open world game. We know you’ll get super invested and build the world of your dreams, so we’ve given you Horizon Zero Dawn.   Not only is it an open world game, it’s also a role-playing game so you can build your own character and play them however you’d like.  

Game Dev Tycoon

Start from the bottom and climb your way to the top in this simulated window into what it’s like to develop video games. A meta choice, to be sure, but we think you’re going to like it. We know you have an inner ambition, a drive to be the best—plus, you’re willing to make the hard choices. Those traits will serve you when you are managing production deadlines and costs and balancing those against extra features and hardware that you know will make your game successful.

If you haven’t played Scribblenauts before, the core idea is this: if you write something down, it becomes real. It’s the perfect game for a creative mind and an Aquarius is always looking for another outlet. What’s the best way to get a cat out of the tree? Have you tried using a jetpack?
