ACTOR APPRECIATION
From Vampire to Rocker
You may know him as Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer but did you know that James Marsters was also in a band and has done a number of audio books? In honor of spooky season, it's time to learn a bit more about our fave vampire.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Spike wasn't originally supposed to be long-running character in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The creator, Joss Weadon, gave in and decided to keep around the villain turned anti-hero as he became popular with the show's fanbase.
“To Joss,” Marsters told 411Mania, “vampires were supposed to be ugly, evil, and quick to be killed... when I was cast Joss did not imagine me to be popular; Spike was supposed to be dirty and evil, punk rock, and then dead."
He was in a band?
Did you know that he's a good singer? From 2003-2004 James Marsters was the lead singer of the rock band Ghost of the Robot. Later on, in October of 2004, he launched his solo music career.
