In the cult classic Howard the Duck Lea Thompson plays Beverly Switzler, a struggling rock musician who forms an unlikely bond with a wisecracking duck from outer space. This is one of her first roles after the success of Back to the Future and was a bit of a bizarre premise. However, her performance balancing comedy and sincerity made her character endearing. Thompson's chemistry with Howard, though extremely strange, turned what could have been just another forgotten quirky '80s flick into a memorable adventure that fans still celebrate today.

Playing both the younger and older versions of Lorraine Baines-McFly in the Back to the Future franchise, Thompson does a fantastic job portraying every iteration of the character.
