WHAT'S NEXT?

Most Anticipated Star Wars TV Projects

With The Book of Boba Fett releasing this month (December 29, 2021), we know that the Star Wars universe is only getting bigger and better. We still aren’t sure who all will be making appearances in Boba’s new show, but we do know who’s getting their own series in the future! With some of the most anticipated Star Wars projects to date coming in the next few years, we wanted to remind you all of what series are to come and why you should stay excited.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Anakin & Obi-Wan from Episode 3

Live Action Limited Series

This is easily the most anticipated Star Wars project right now. Set 10 years after the events in Revenge of the Sith, the show follows Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) and his new life on Tatooine. That is, until Darth Vader starts making trouble for poor Obi. That’s right, Vader is back and played by Hayden Christensen once again. With the rumored introduction of the Inquisitors, this limited show is going to be insane!

The Mandalorian

Mando from The Mandalorian

Live Action Season 3

*Spoilers ahead* When we last saw Mando, he was parting ways with Grogu and Luke Skywalker, while wielding the Darksaber. What an ending. While the events of The Book of Boba Fett may have some impact on how Season 3 begins, we’re expecting great things. The first two seasons have set a really high bar for what’s to come.

The Bad Batch

The Bad Batch crew

Animated Season 2

Season 1 of the new The Clone Wars spin-off ended on August 13 2021. We found out very quickly that our fav soldiers-turned-father-figures will be back on our screens sometime next year. Considering almost the entire show is voiced by one legend (Dee Bradley Baker), it’s safe to assume the entire group will be back again.

Andor

Cassian from Rogue One

Live Action Prequel Series

I think we all know how Rogue One ended. That means if we want more content from any of those characters, we’re gonna have to go back in time. That’s exactly what Andor is doing. Set five years before the movie, this show will focus on Cassian Andor before he met his rag tag group of rebels. While Alan Tudyk won’t be back as K-2SO this season, we do get the return of Saw Gerrera (played once again by Forest Whitaker).

Ahsoka

Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano

Live Action Series

Not going to lie, I screamed when this was announced. Ahsoka is the best character in the entire Star Wars universe (in my opinion) and her appearances in The Clone Wars, Rebels, and The Mandalorian all stole the show. It’s about time we got more content from Ahsoka Tano. Not much is known about the plot officially, but rumors and casting calls lead us to believe it might be following the Thrawn/Ezra ending of Rebels.

Lando

Donald Glover as Lando

Live Action Series

Billy Dee William’s Lando was one of the most iconic characters in the OG trilogy (with a great cameo in the sequels). It made perfect sense to give him a bigger origin role in Solo (played then by Donald Glover). While any details for this show are unknown, including who will be playing Lando this time around, we’re still excited to see what adventures he will be getting into.
