My roommate and I are both huge nerds. Our apartment is basically a shrine to an entire range of fandoms – comics and manga, movies, tv, books, anime, horror, games – you name it. But our favourite thing to do is to pick a movie or binge a TV show like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and get takeout. Great pandemic bonding!

If there’s one thing my family does together, it’s watching Bob’s Burgers in the living room. My sister LOVES the show, so she always puts it on at any chance that she gets, especially now that it’s on Disney+. Because of that, the rest of us have grown to love to show too, so it’s become something of a tradition to watch it, even if my parents pretend to complain.

Growing up, my brother built us side by side gaming set ups so we could play our MMO's together. It's something my mom always hated because of the hours we put into it but loved it because we would bond as siblings. To this day, my family bonds over gaming and we've now got my 3-year-old nephew hooked on Mario Kart.

I love Harry Potter and spent more time than I'd care to admit sorting my dogs, aka my own family, into their Hogwarts houses. They now proudly wear their houses everyday thanks to PetSmart rolling out a new line of Hogwarts Houses dog collars.

We love doing so many things together as a family; but one our most cherished traditions is going to the movies together to see all the latest releases together. Especially Star Wars - my dad has always been a huge fan and it's a treasured tradition. Along the same lines, my family is also very into awards season and especially the Oscars. We love to watch the movies that are nominated, critique, speculate, debate and tune into to the awards together as a culmination of all the fun.
