COMMUNITY ZONE
Meet fellow fans and celebrate your fandoms in the Community Zone. From cosplay groups and photo ops to movie props and local clubs, it all happens here.

DJ THUG SHELLS
Pint-sized but larger than life, DJ Thug Shells drops hip hop, drum and bass, and breakbeats with bubbly gangster energy. From Shambhala to Burning Man, her sets mix Slim Shady wit, Mac Miller flow, and Little Mermaid charm. Tune into her sets during the Cosplay Red Carpet all weekend long.

The Alberta Ghostbusters
Who you gonna call? The Alberta Ghostbusters, of course. They bring screen-accurate gear, fun photo ops, and plenty of proton-powered action—all while raising funds for great causes. Visit them all weekend in the Community Zone, or swing by the Kids' Zone for Slime Making sessions (while supplies last). Check the schedule closer to the show for more details.

BADLANDS DROID BUILDERS
From galaxy-famous designs to custom builds, the Badlands Droid Builders bring Star Wars tech to life. Meet the makers, see the droids up close, and get inspired to build your own in the Community Zone.

STAR WARS FAN FORCE
This is the social club you’re looking for. STAR WARS FAN FORCE brings together fans from Calgary and Edmonton for meetups, movie nights, and all things from a galaxy far, far away. Swing by the Community Zone to see what the Jedi, Sith, and Rebels are up to all weekend long.

USS CERBERUS (STARFLEET INTERNATIONAL)
This Edmonton-based crew is boldly going where no fan group has gone before. As a chapter of STARFLEET International, the USS Cerberus unites Star Trek fans through community service, charity events, and a shared love of all things Federation. Swing by the Community Zone to see what the crew of the Cerberus have in store for all Trekkies and fans all weekend long.

C3 Cosplay
Whether they’re suiting up for a movie premiere or brightening a child’s hospital stay, C3 is all about making a difference. Focused on children’s health and active with dozens of charities each year, they prove cosplay can be powerful.

CANCOSPLAY CARDS
Cosplay meets collectibles—Cancosplay Cards brings your favourite cosplays to life as trading cards. This nonprofit celebrates every skill level, turning community into a deck of legends. Check them out in the Cosplay HQ all weekend to get your own customized and collectible cosplay card.

JUST BE COS-COSPITAL COSPLAY REPAIR
From wardrobe malfunctions to last-minute prop mishaps, Just Be Cos-Cospital Cosplay Repair is your go-to fix-it spot on the show floor. Drop by their booth in the Cosplay HQ for supplies, support, and a quick save before heading back out.

THE MONEY PIT COSTUMING HUB
Come for the costumes, stay for the community. The Money Pit is an open, inclusive hub where all skill levels and fandoms are welcome—no formal requirements, just good vibes and shared creativity. Visit them all weekend long in the Cosplay HQ.

THE ACADEMY OF EUROPEAN SWORDSMANSHIP
Swordplay, the old-school way. This inclusive HEMA group brings the techniques of historical European combat out of the history books and onto the show floor. Come see how real swordsmanship stacks up to your favourite fantasy duels by checking our their demonstrations, and visit their table in the Community Zone for a closer look at their combat gear. HISTORICAL ARMOURED COMBAT SPORTS ASSOCIATION
Steel meets strategy. The Historical Armoured Combat Sports Association is Canada’s full-contact medieval combat league, where athletes clash in real armor, real weapons, and real competition. 41st Signal Regiment
From field missions to emergency response, the 41st Signal Regiment keeps critical communication flowing. Chat with local reservists and discover how their specialized tech and training support the Canadian Armed Forces right here in Alberta.

NALUG (North Alberta Lego Users Group)
Get ready to see LEGO like you’ve never seen it before. The Northern Alberta LEGO Users Group (NALUG) brings larger-than-life builds, intricate dioramas, and serious brick skills to the show floor—all crafted by passionate adult fans of LEGO. Check out their stunning fandom displays in the Community Zone all weekend long.

Booth Babe Burlesque
This Edmonton-based Nerdlesque troupe brings bold performances and dazzling cosplay to the spotlight. Booth Babe Burlesque celebrates body positivity and fandom flair with every show-stopping routine. Visit them in the Community Zone to learn more about their performances and community involvement.

EDMONTON BEYBLADE CLUB
Test your skills and spin to win—EBC brings the hype with monthly all-ages Beyblade tournaments and nonstop energy. Whether you’re a seasoned Blader or just getting started, there’s a spot in the arena for you. Check out the action all weekend in the Friendiverse Lounge.

Fur-Eh!
Fur-Eh! is Alberta’s original anthropomorphic convention, bringing together furries and furry-adjacent fans for a colorful celebration of creativity, community, and character. Stop by to learn more and connect with the local furry fandom.

Metro Cinema
Metro Cinema brings bold, boundary-pushing films to the big screen. Operating out of the historic Garneau Theatre, this not-for-profit is all about community, conversation, and celebrating cinema you won’t find at your average multiplex. Check out their booth in the Community Zone to learn more about this historic theatre and what's coming to their screens next.

PANEL ONE COMICS SOCIETY
This not-for-profit collective celebrates the full spectrum of Canadian comics talent. Whether you’re a fan, a creator, or just curious, Panel One is here to share stories, spark connection, and support the next wave of graphic storytellers. SORRY NOT SORRY IMPROV
