When the show floor closes, Anime After Dark begins. This all-ages, after-hours hangout features a separate lineup of anime voice actors, exclusive programming, and good vibes all around. Join us Friday for Preview Night with Q&As and game shows, then come back Saturday for Party Night with a DJ, karaoke, and more. No extra ticket required—it’s all included with your show pass.

The CALGARY EXPO Maid Café is back! Join us for a maid café presentation similar to the ones from the Akihabara district in Tokyo featuring games, stage performances, kawaii meet and greets, and more. Each ticket to this all-ages experience includes your choice of tea or water, a small snack, and a gift bag which includes exclusive maid café merchandise. Powered in part by Maid Café Mikkusu and Sugarbell Maid Café.

CALGARY EXPO welcomes attendees to immerse themselves into the energy and excitement of Japanese Idol culture at our very own IdolFest. Whether you're a long time wota or just looking for some great music with positive energy, these performances will have you standing, clapping, and waving your light sticks to the music. This year's lineup includes performances from Faito Dayo Idol, Midnight at 25:00, Moonlight Opera, and Wonderstar Sekai.

Anime voice actors are on the loose and ready to answer your questions, tell their stories, and more at our Q&A panels. Plus, don’t miss our fan-led anime panels where we’ll dive into the nitty gritty details of your fave shows and debate hot topics.

The Itasha Showcase, a sub-culture that focuses on decorating one’s vehicle with their favourite anime character or series, is here for your viewing pleasure. Check out the stunning vehicles and post any pics you take of them at the show this month using #CALGARYEXPOItasha.

Japan’s anime aesthetic is coming to life at CALGARY EXPO. Stop by Anime HQ where you can hang out and enjoy anime-centric photo ops, cosplay meetups, K-pop, anime music videos, and more.

Karaoke just got a whole lot more kawaii. Join the maids from Maid Café Mikkusu to belt your heart out at Kawaii Karaoke, where vocalists of all skill levels are invited to put their whole heart into singing every note. Seating is limited, and priority access is granted to attendees who have purchased a ticket to this weekend’s Maid Café.
