It’s true! You can get paid to work at FANEXPO San Francisco as part of our Crew!
We are recruiting for paid positions roles in the Ticketing Hall, Autographs & Photo Ops Lines, Theater Lines, Info Booth, and more!
We have lots of fun together at the show. You’ll be wearing our shirts, working with our Leads and Show Management, and sharing the fandom!
We are proud to partner with RemX as our staffing agency partner. Keith David and his team from RemX in Dallas, TX have worked with us on our other US shows, and if you’ve met Keith, you know he likes bad jokes and terrible memes. Keith and team will manage the nitty gritty of applications, scheduling, and payroll. They will be your primary contact as a Crew member.
Please work with RemX to submit your application, and they will prompt you on the documents and details they require to onboard you.

CREW FAQ
Common questions about Working with FAN EXPO San Francisco
What do I do to get involved?
Click the Apply Now button above and create your RemX profile application – here you will complete basic employment information, as well as W4, Form I9, & payroll information and other forms.
Please note, the “Desired Branch Location” on your application is pre-set to Dallas, TX. This is where Keith’s RemX office and his team are located, and where we need your application to be housed – don’t change the branch location when you submit your application.
After this is completed, you will be emailed RemX with your next steps. Once RemX has you completely onboarded they will send a survey so you can tell them who you are, what you can do and if you worked at FAN EXPO San Francisco or any other local cons before.
What if I can only work one shift?
Please let RemX know this when you complete their survey. Naturally the more shifts you do, the more on-the-job knowledge you gain, so we love it when you can work for more than one day. People who can work more than one day will be given priority.
Crew Expectations
As a paid Crew member, you are responsible for your own transportation, parking, accommodation, and food. You’ll receive a FAN EXPO San Francisco show shirt. If your shift ends early the day you are scheduled, then you can attend the con for the remainder of that day.
Can I work in a specific area at the show?
As a paid Crew member, we will try to place you where you’ve got prior experience – be sure to tell RemX if you’ve worked in a certain area before. However, in this paid role we may need to move Crew members around to different areas of the show based on where it’s busy or slower. We require flexibility in this regard. No one on Crew “owns” a certain position or placement at the show. Requesting to be placed with a specific Celebrity Guest tends to make our fanboy/fangirl radar go off and can ultimately influence decisions on if or where you are scheduled.
Can I work with my friend?
Make this request directly to RemX because they are responsible for scheduling. Generally, friends can’t take breaks together, but if you are carpooling be sure to tell RemX who you’d ideally like to start and finish with each day.
My personal situation doesn’t allow me to participate in paid employment. How can I get involved?
Please connect with RemX to discuss your specific situation. They may have a solution for you.
