Team Picks: Fave Animated TV Shows

Here at the FAN EXPO HQ, our team is always nerding out over the world of fandom. On Team Picks, we share some of our favorite things we’ve been watching, reading and playing. This month, we are consulting the TV guides of old to recall what our fave animated shows were as kids.

When you’re a kid, there’s maybe nothing better than waking up, walking out of your room still in pajamas, grabbing some cereal and plopping down in front of the TV for some cartoons. Some of these shows were weird, others were educational, but all of them captured our hearts.

Today, we’re each picking our fave animated TV shows from when we were kids.

The Simpsons

My vote goes to The Simpsons because it makes fun of real life situations, which makes it relatable. The characters are either really likable or really annoying. Plus, it reminds me of The Flintstones, which I also really liked.

Hey Arnold!

Meaghan
Digital Marketing Manager

I am going to say one of my fave animated tv shows as a kid was: Hey Arnold! I loved the look and feel of the setting of the show, and the phrase "move it football head" was just so iconic. In each episode I would always catch myself laughing. I felt like the characters and the situations were relatable and it had a few good life lessons too.

Magic School Bus

Emily
Operations Coordinator

I think I would have to say the Magic School Bus. Miss Frizzle was always teacher goals and also I was a bit of a science nerd, so I appreciated the accuracy of the wild adventures.

Spongebob Squarepants

Caroline
Social Media Coordinator

Okay this was a tough one, I loved cartoons as a kid, but I'd have to say my fave show was Spongebob Squarepants. I was OBSESSED with this show. I've probably seen every single episode. The characters were great and had the funniest relationships with one another. I mean, the theme song alone is so catchy! “WHO LIVES IN A PINEAPPLE UNDER THE SEA” ….
