Who's Coming to Dinner?

Here at the FAN EXPO HQ, our team is always nerding out over the world of fandom. On Team Picks, we share some of our favorite things we’ve been watching, reading and playing. This month, we are getting in the holiday spirit and planning our invite list for Thanksgiving dinner.
There are two categories of Thanksgiving guests: family (found family or traditional), and their plus ones. We’ll admit that we’re taking some liberties with this one, but the question is: if you could invite any fictional character to the feast, who would you bring?
The answers are as varied as the menu variations at each table. But the doorbell is ringing and we’re here to find out who is on the other side. Here we go.

Pale Man

Pale Man from Pan's Labyrinth

Social Media Coordinator

I’d invite the Pale Man from Pan’s Labyrinth so that nobody will eat out of fear of death. That tension is extremely entertaining to me and also it means all the leftovers will be mine for the taking.

Michael Scott

Michael Scott from The Office

Graphic Designer

I’d invite Michael Scott from The Office. One thing’s for sure: it will be a Thanksgiving to remember. As Michael Scott says, “would I rather be feared or loved? Easy. Both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me”. Wise words that will definitely make for some odd and entertaining dinner conversation.

Lincoln from The 100

Digital Media Manager

I’ll keep it appropriate! I really like his character—especially his loyalty. And during Thanksgiving, I think his strength would come in handy with carrying heavy dishes and hoisting the big turkey around. I'd want to learn more about his culture and how they survived the end of the world in the plot of The 100

Scott Lang from Ant-Man

If I could invite anyone to Thanksgiving dinner, it would 100% be Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man. Think about it. Not only is he funny and could entertain the whole table with stories of his adventures, but he could use his Pym Particles to resize all the food. Imagine a turkey the size of the table? A bathtub sized amount of mashed potatoes? The possibilities are endless. Bonus: He might bring Ant-thony. That would steal the show.
