Step into the magic at our Kids' Zone Cosplay Closet. Your little ones can try on a variety of fun costumes—from brave superheroes and elegant princesses to adventurous Jedis and more. Once they’re all dressed up, head over to our themed photo backdrops for a picture-perfect moment they'll never forget.

Slimer-approved and ready to squish. Join the Windy City Ghostbusters in the Kids’ Zone to make your very own ectoplasmic slime. While supplies last.

At the Youngling Academy, kids ages 6 to 16 will learn how to wield a lightsaber and master the Force with Saber Guild–Olega Temple. Learn lightsaber forms, Force basics, and finish your training in a duel against a real Sith Lord.

The lightsabers ignite at 2 PM on Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17. Join us on the Cosplay Red Carpet as Jedi and Sith masters clash in a live-action duel. Two Sides. One Force.

Join Royal Princess Parties in the Kids Zone for a weekend of fairytales, games, and music. Friday brings the Classic Princess Ball, Saturday takes you to Neverland for an interactive story, and Sunday wraps things up with Frozen-themed games and a singalong you won’t forget.

It’s time to train like a hero. Stop by the Kids' Zone and join the League of Enchantment for Superhero Fitness, where young heroes will learn stretches and moves inspired by their favorite characters. Then stick around for Shield Making and craft your very own superhero accessory.

Time to power up, little heroes. Join the League of Enchantment for a kid-friendly fitness session where you’ll jump like Spider-Man, lunge like an Avenger, and strike your best Jedi stance. It’s the perfect way to shake off a day of excitement—cape optional.

Every hero needs the right gear. Join the League of Enchantment to build your own one-of-a-kind shield, perfect for cosplay, playtime, or saving the day. This hands-on activity is a great way for kids to flex their creativity.

More than just cosplay—this panel explores how dressing up can lift others up. Hear stories from the League of Enchantment about using their powers for real-world impact through outreach, charity, and connection.

Gather ‘round with the League of Enchantment for a magical storytime session. Heroes will read from their favorite kid-friendly books—perfect for young readers, daydreamers, and future adventurers.

Create something bold, brave, and totally you. This hands-on activity with Chicago POC lets young fans craft their own superhero mask or princess crown, complete with all the materials and guidance they need to rock their look around the show floor.

Saturday, August 16 from 10 AM to 4:45 PM

Pick up your Droid Badge at the 501st Legion Midwest Garrison Community booth in the Family Zone and wear it proudly—Imperial Troopers will be searching for recruits. If you’re “captured,” your badge becomes your raffle ticket. Return after 5 PM for the drawing—you must be present to win and collect your prize that day.

Saturday, August 16 at 2 PM

Join the 501st Legion Midwest Garrison for their epic Galactic Parade on Saturday. Featuring the 501st Legion, Rebel Legion, Mando Mercs, Saber Guild, The Dark Empire, Defenders Detachment, Droid Builders, and Galactic Academy, this fan-favorite tradition kicks off at 3 PM. Meet at their booth in the Family Zone for staging at 2:30 PM—cosplay encouraged and fans welcome.

Sunday, August 17 at 1 PM

Stop by the 501st Legion Midwest Garrison Community Booth in the Family Zone at 1 PM to watch the first time FAN EXPO “The Dune Tunes Cantina Band” perform their #1 hit. This is one experience you don’t want to miss. Then stick around for great photo opportunities.

Sunday, August 17 at 2 PM

The Empire wants YOU to join the hunt. Stop by the 501st Legion Midwest Garrison Community booth to begin your mission and receive your bounty briefing. Then hit the show floor to track down rogue targets and prove you’ve got what it takes. Prizes must be claimed the same day.
