How did you create the cosplay you created and won with?
This costume was made with years of research, practice, patience, and love. I taught myself how to pattern draft, embroider, and do beadwork specifically for this costume.

I am looking forward to building relationships with my fellow competitors and getting to experience a contest on such a large scale!

How did you create the cosplay you created and won with?
I created my Arachne cosplay by combining historical-inspired garment construction with modern technology, including custom-drafted patterns, tambour beading, and servo-powered spider legs. The build blended details like hand-embroidered organza, a self-drafted corset, and layered skirts with 3D modeling, coding, and electronics to bring the character fully to life.

What was the first ever cosplay you ever made?
My first cosplay was a much simpler project. Erza Scarlet’s Heavens Wheel Armor from Fairy Tail. It was something held together with enthusiasm, hot glue, and beginner bravery, but I was so proud of it.

How did you create the cosplay you created and won with?
This cosplay is a meticulously crafted recreation of Eivor’s Byzantine armor set from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, built entirely from scratch using visual references, custom tools, and a life‑cast face mask. Hundreds of hours went into constructing the garments, armor, and hand‑finished details, requiring the artist to learn new techniques across foam, leather, pleather, fabric, thermoplastic, and paint.

What was the reaction you had when you won?
My reaction to winning Best in Show was disbelief followed by shock then my brain an emotions flatlining. It would be weeks later that I realized the gravity of my accomplishment.

How did you create the cosplay you created and won with?
I drafted my patterns from scratch and sewed the main wearable items. There are a few pieces that I 3D modeled and printed as well as a few hand sculpted parts. The glasses were also made from scratch. The leather parts I dyed and tooled to add a bit more detail. The wings were a unique shape that I wanted to replicate so I used PVC pipe/PETG and fibreglass to accomplish the structure then covered it in feathers and eyeballs.
There's sewing, leatherworking, 3d modeling and printing, traditional sculpting, silver soldering, and rigging.

What are you looking forward to the most competing in the finals?
Meeting more cosplayers and seeing their costumes, I love talking about and learning other peoples crafting methods and of course the competition as well. Being on stage is a lot of fun.

How did you create the cosplay you created and won with?
The costume is a showcase of different needlework techniques and materials, so starting with a strong core concept and aesthetic helped keep each piece on track and part of the greater whole. It was a multi-month endeavor with tons of adjustments and mistakes as I went, and I learned a lot.

What are you looking forward to the most competing in the finals?
Meeting all the other top tier craftspeople and nerding out over their costumes.
